Day 1: Kisumu to Masai Mara
On this day you will be met by Calvin Tours and Safaris Representative and after a short briefing drive south towards the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve distance of 222 km, This safari takes you from Kisumu to Maasai Mara through the Kericho tea zones into Narok and into the Maasai Mara Game Reserve through the beautiful savannah grasslands and plains in the great Rift valley, magnificent views of several physical features .

 

The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall year round amongst an amalgam of the towns you will encounter e.g.: Kericho, Litein ,Bomet, Longisa, Mulot.and finally Narok .This game reserve is among the 9 wonders of the world and is a renowned tourist destination in Kenya, famous for the wildebeest migration along the Mara River. The river is full of Crocodiles and hippos which traverse the Mara. The reserve has high proportions of wildlife and above all one is sure to spot a pride of lions resting or hovering in the fantastic woodland savannah grassland, and also the big five.

 

Other animals expected to be seen in the reserve include; hyenas, antelopes, topis, Dik-dik, and zebras among others. We will enjoy a short game drive as we head to our pre-booked lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Maasai Mara - full day Game drives
After breakfast at the camp/ Lodge, you will explore the park's amazingly high concentration of game. A full day game drive with picnic lunch at the Mara River as you enjoy the scenic view of the crocodiles resting on the brown-muddy river banks.

Late afternoon can be spared for an optional visit to the Maasai village to be enlightened on the Maasai culture and perhaps enjoy a Maasai cultural dance. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Maasai Mara - Kisumu
After breakfast check out from the lodge/camp and say goodbye to as you enjoy the last game drive in Maasai Mara en-route to Kisumu. Your 3 days 2 nights adventure comes to an end as you arrive in Kisumu.
